| Did You Know? There are three Different Ways a Nerve Can Become Pinched: Pinched Nerves often cause numbness, tingling or sharp pain. A Pinched Nerve in the neck will often cause symptoms in the shoulders, arms elbow, wrists or hands. A Pinched Nerve in the low back will often cause symptoms in the buttock, hip, legs, knees and/or feet.
| Pinched Nerve Symptoms / Pinched Sciatic Nerve
Numbness and tingling are a few of the symptoms generally associated with nerve irritation. The most common type of injury to a nerve is a “pinching” of the nerve. Nerve impingement often occurs at the spine and may be caused by being “sandwiched” between two spinal bones (called a subluxation), pressed upon by a bulging disc (called Herniated Disc) or encroached upon by bony overgrowth (called Spinal Stenosis). The area where you experience irritated nerve symptoms is indicative of where in the spine the impingement occurs. Nerve irritation in the neck often causes symptoms in the shoulders, arms or hands. Similar problems in the low back can lead to numbness and tingling down the legs and into the feet. Sharp pain shooting down the back of the legs is often referred to as Sciatica. Pinched Nerve SymptomsPinched nerves can cause a variety of symptoms including sharp, shooting pain; numbness; tingling; burning pain and weakness. The symptoms can occur near the site of the pinch or can “radiate” into the arms or legs. If this happens in the neck, the pinched nerve symptoms will often occur in the shoulders, arms or hands. If it occurs in the low back then the pinched nerve symptoms are more likely to be in the buttocks, hips, legs or feet.
Pinched Nerve Treatment with DRX9000 Spinal DecompressionNon-Surgical Spinal Decompression using the DRX9000 provides relief to Pinched Nerve sufferers by removing the cause of the nerve compression. The DRX9000 can reverse all 3 major Pinched Nerve causes in the following ways: Subluxation (“Sandwiched” Between Two Bones):The DRX9000 separates the bones of the spine allowing fluid to be “pulled” into the disc. As the fluid enters the disc it will thicken to maintain the separation between the bones. The space between the bones is increased allowing the nerves to pass between the bones without being pinched. Herniated Disc (Disc Pressing on the Nerve):Non-Surgical Disc Decompression gently reduces the pressure within discs of the spine by methodically separating the bones of the spine. A vacuum is formed that “sucks” the gelatinous center of the disc back inside the disc. The Disc Bulge / Disc Herniation is reduced in size which removes pressure off the spinal nerves eliminating the pinched nerve symptoms. This “sucking” vacuum also pulls much-needed oxygen and nutrients into the injured and degenerated discs allowing the healing to start. Spinal Stenosis (Bony Overgrowth That Shrinks the Spinal Nerve Canal):A common for of Spinal Stenosis called "Lateral Canal Stensosis" reduces the space available in the spinal canal where the nerve leaves the spine. This canal is called the intervertebral foramen (literally meaning: “hole between the bones of the spine”). There are only two available options when this form of degeneration occurs. The extra bony growth can be surgically removed or the “hole” can be enlarged allowing more room for the nerve. The surgical option can be rather risky due to the procedure taking place in close proximity to both the spinal cord and the spinal nerve. Therefore, Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression is a safe and highly effective alternative to such procedures. With DRX9000 Spinal Decompression the bones of the spine are separated allowing more space for the nerve “to breathe”. The discs of the spine then fill in with fluid allowing them to maintain the space between the vertebrae keeping the pressure off the nerves. The treatment motion is computer controlled to provide gentle and pain-free rehabilitation of the injured spinal discs. The DRX9000 uses a revolutionary technology that slowly cycles between brief moments of pulling and relaxing called oscillation. This reduces protective muscle spasm that contributed to the poor success rate of other “traction” techniques and also "pumps" the disc with fluid. The latest advances built into the DRX9000 include angulated elongation methods to target specific discs of the spine (for example: L5/S1 at the base of the spine). This allows the Spinal Decompression to rely less on brute force (separating the entire spine at high force) and more on finesse (using less force to focus on a single spinal disc) to rehabilitate injured spinal discs.
